Hi, My name is Dave Foster and I’m pleased to meet you today.

Why am I creating simple newsletters? I’ve been writing a weekly news page “Fishing News Roundup” (the Fishing Mugs website newsletter) for a little while now. It involves scouring numerous news websites to find fishing-related stories of interest to Fishing Mugs customers

What I’ve discovered, after trawling through hundreds and hundreds of such sites, is how poorly designed they are, and to be quite frank, what an unholy mess they’re in. The problem is they’re all flash and very little substance.

Look at most news sites and you have to agree they look absolutely horrendous. You can't get moved for pop ups, slide ins, pulsating ads and other garbage.

Not only do they look terrible, they slow down page loading and actually get in the way of the information you’re trying to read.

The goal with my newsletters is to bring you top quality, well written stories in a unique, ‘no-ads’ environment where you can actually get the information you’re searching for, without ridiculous bells and whistles getting in the way.

Now, I have to tell you, I cannot simply copy and paste other people’s work into the pages on this site. Apart from being unethical it’s also illegal, so that’s not going to happen. I’m telling you this because some of the sites I recommend will have a few of the design flaws I’ve already mentioned, but the information will always be top quality.

My newsletters are aimed at providing substance. There will be photos and video but they will be there to support the copy. Most of all, there will be words - and hopefully words that resonate with you, your need and desire for good information, no spin and no fake news.

Please feel free to let me know if I’m off track, if you love or hate what I’m doing and if you have any suggestions about how I can serve you better.

I look forward to hearing from you.

All the best.
Dave F.
